Super friendly staff. Had a flight of beers consisting of their 'dream juice' hazy ipa, a hefeweizen, a 'me and my black jorts' dark lager, and my favorite 'Rio de latter coffee stout. All 4 beers were great in their own ways. Grabbed some of the brussel sprouts in a hot honey mustard which were cooked to perfection. The hot honey mustard sauce was a great recommendation from the staff.

Everything is wonderful🎶🎶🎼🎵 Brussels sprouts with habanero sauce. The Come and Drink It for a thirst quencher. The small pours for Rio Reserve 2025 followed by the Santa Anna’s Revenge. All excellent beers. Excellent. I wish I could eat and drink more. Sadly I was sensible tonight. The service has been spectacular, the atmosphere very comfy. I am just visiting but if I lived here, I’d join their Beer For Life Club. If good food, excellent beers, high quality, casual and friendly atmosphere is your thing, then get here.

Just a heads up for anyone thinking about coming here — this place might be fine if you’re drunk and just looking for something greasy, but if you actually care about the quality of your food, I wouldn’t recommend it. The pizza was extremely greasy and honestly gross. The service was bad, and the overall experience felt unprofessional. I’m also not sure what the dress code is supposed to be, but it didn’t reflect a good image for the company. I don’t drink, so maybe that’s why the food really didn’t work for me — but overall, I won’t be coming back.

BLUF: Great beer, great food, and great service. Highly recommend you check this place out if you’re a fan of craft beer and supporting local businesses. Back Unturned is easily one of my favorite local breweries in San Antonio. Their beer is fantastic, with a few staples, and some constantly rotating innovative taps. Their most popular beer, Dream Juice, is a fruit forward hazy IPA that always quenches my thirst, and a beer I’ve introduced many a non-beer drinker to with very positive feedback. Their take on an Oktoberfest, Backtoberfest, has been my go to choice lately, and I’ll be sad to see that keg dry up. They offer flights of beer, giving you an opportunity to sample four beers of your choice, and their beers are listed on Untappd if you’re a user. Many foods pair well with beer, but perhaps none better than pizza and wings, which happens to be their primary culinary offering. They do a limited pizza almost every month, and I haven’t had one that wasn’t a hit. Their mainstays are delicious as well, highly recommend the Spicy Hawaiian. 5 ⭐️ all around. Great place to cool down, enjoy some cold beer and delicious pizza. The Salad was really good too. The entree size was more like a side salad. Get the family size instead if you are splitting it with someone else. On that note, the large is more like a medium size so I easily ate the entire entree salad and half the medium size pizza with more room in my belly. 😁 hope this helps ✌️
